Since 2019, 300 third places have been labelled throughout France, including 5 in Finistère (Ateliers Jean Moulin in Plouhinec, Konk ar Lab in Concarneau, Lieu-dit in Brest and Les Ribines in Irvillac).
These Fabriques are "...spaces of cohesion and creation of new useful links for all local actors" (Jacqueline Gourault, Minister for Territorial Cohesion).
They are also places of transition which "...embody the desire and capacity of the inhabitants of a given territory to take up the challenges of the territory in order to provide solutions, services and activities together and in close proximity" (Joël Giraud, Secretary of State for Rural Affairs).
We are therefore very happy to join this select club and to see our third place of business, in the heart of the Pays Bigouden, praised at the highest level.
This great recognition and the financial support provided by the State (€50,000 per year for 3 years paid by the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion and France relance), will allow us to carry out our projects for the animation of the community of Entrepreneurs of the Pays Bigouden:
- Meeting points for companies, self-employed and teleworkers
- Conferences and training on professional and personal development
- Events created or hosted (concerts, fairs, exhibitions)
Mixing audiences will also be facilitated by this label. An effort will be made to promote open-mindedness, knowledge acquisition and digital inclusion.
Finally, this award clearly positions Bigouden Makers Pont l'Abbé as the totemic third place of the Bigouden region. In relation with the local authorities, we will encourage exchanges between all the places of activity, exchanges and creation which aim at the development of the Bigouden territory and whose citizen actors share the desire to do things together.
